This is based on a recent research of the American Staffing Association Workforce Monitor. Nevertheless, eight out of ten jobseekers think that technology made their search for a new job easier.

 

We probably don’t have to tell you that technical support resources, such as an Application Tracking System (ATS), can make your recruitment process easier and faster. We notice that the demand is high and therefore definitely recommend to take advantage of this technology. The risk that involves the automation of your recruitment process is that too many depend on this technology. Some say that the job description of a Recruiter will drastically change over the years, because parts of the recruitment process (such as sourcing or interviews) will be fully automated.

 

 

You can reject an applicant with just one click, which of course saves a lot of time but will harm your Candidate Experience. So, what is the right consideration? To what extent do you insert the technical support resources and where do you keep using manpower? It’s all about the right balance!

 

Regarding the example above, where you reject an applicant with just one click, the best choice is to use a combination of both technology and Recruiters. Yes, the click on the button results in accurate registration within your internal system, but always make sure that your message to the applicant is personal. And we don’t mean that you only use the name of the applicant in the salutation. The applicant immediately recognises a general rejection mail, so make sure you explain in one or two sentences why you have chosen to proceed with other candidates or the reason why they are not the right candidate for the position.
